We love Montenegro! It’s almost the end of our travels and we are road weary, but when you have a rental car, its a great excuse to explore a different country. Montenegro is less than an hour from Dubrovnik and is a bit more laid back and not as touristy. Cruise ships have started to make this a stop but only because Dubrovnik wasn’t able to handle the constant influx of visitors. Still, the area around the Bay of Kotor is breathtaking.
Since leaving France, over a month ago, we really haven’t had an amazing meal where service, fresh food, and innovation come together to make something memorable. We found that place in the small village of Morinja at Catovia Mlni. http://www.catovica-mlini.com/ The main restaurant is an old mill that was used by the Catovic family for 200 years to make flour . The stream was once used to turn the mills. Its a magical setting with delicious food and this is a country we wish we had more time to explore.
