This is a snap that Lisa took of me and a cooler of my ‘victims from last year’s Microsoft Central Texas Spring Party. Both Lisa and I are missing our mud bugs, our crayfish, our bugs. After extensive web surfing, found out they do have them in Australia. During Lisa and my dinner with Michelle and Mosese Tea this weekend, I shared my discovering and they confirmed that they did exist and Michelle remembers catching them along a dam where she grew up. Alas, neither of them thought we had great chance of getting a sack of live ones around here, and if so they would be very expensive. There is a cousin of the Yabby that may be easier to get. It is called a Marron. Lisa and I described the whole process of cleaning and cooking them and the role Swampfire plays in the seasoning of them to our captive or captivated company.
