I arrived at the airport, went through immigration, and was on my way in the hotel van by 2pm. The hotel was the Tara Angkor that is out of downtown, but on the way to all of the temples. Lisa did an outstanding job choosing this place and arranging to have pick-up. It sure makes thing easier when arriving in a completely new place and having such a service waiting for you. Stress free. You rock, Lisa!
Lisa arrived at 6pm and I gave her a B-I-G Hug in the lobby! That night, we decided to go with a package tour since we needed to get a better understanding of how to get about. Later that night and early the next morning, the web site, Trip Advisor, showed us the way, and we changed from the packaged tour to one that we had designed. The desk help wasn’t super happy about the change, but they respected and accepted it. Next post, out sight-seeing begins in earnest.
Oh yea, couple more things. Internet in the room and a pool! Pool is a must after visiting temples in the heat and dust.
