Lisa has really excellent taste in wine, especially reds. I have fair taste and a greater feeling for money in my pocket. Here are some of the wines that we have been enjoying of late. I doubt many of these are in the states, but might be worthwhile to keep an eye out.
First on my list is d’Arenberg’s The Footbolt Shiraz. Preferring the 2006. I first starting drinking this in the US in order to prepare myself for coming over here. It costs around $24 AUD over here; which means about $16 USD. In the states, they do charge more than $16.
A highly liked wine from Lisa’s list is Kaesler’s Reid’s Rasp Shiraz from the Barossa valley. Barossa valley has some big reds coming from it. Kaesler
In the bargain lands, I really like Tempus Two’s Cabernet-Merlot blend. It runs about $12AUD, which means about $8USD. They are located in the Hunter Valley not far from Sydney and there are several good wineries out that way, according to Lisa.
