These past 2 weeks in Bali have flown by so quickly and our days & evenings have been filled with new experiences and the effortless flow of life on the island.
Hanging out in quiet Sanur beach
We headed to Tulamben in East Bali to snorkel around the US Liberty ship which was sunk by the Japanese in 1942. More divers than snorkelers in the water but still saw beautiful fish in crystal water. Then had fresh grilled barracuda on the beach.
Saw a traditional Barong Dance in a small village and bought a beautiful Barong mask to add to my traditional headdress collection. Douglas and I also bought 4 pieces of art to add to our collection.
Hiked the 270 steps in the rain to visit one of Bali’s oldest and largest sacred monument, Gunung Kawi, which has 10 rock-cut shrines called ‘candi ‘.
Dinner with friends at Indus with beautiful views of rice fields and the volcano, Mt Agung.
Receiving a cleansing & blessing from a local priest/Balian who was also our guide while in Bali:
We will miss our custom made breakfast each morning at the villa:
Great workshops and good vibes at the Bali Spirit Festival….
Dreaming of rice fields again…
