I’m sure you must too. As part of our every day lives, we forage out for food that we did not have much to do with in the way of production. At those times we are at the mercy of someone else providing this food. On Tuesday afternoon, I made a fatal mistake, nearly fatal. I was at a local mall in downtown Sydney with Lisa’s daughter, Alex and her husband Eric. We were all in need for a little pick-me-up so we went to the Gloria Jeans’ coffee, which is a chain. Eric got Tea…fresh, Alex got some type of coffee drink made to order, and I got some type of frozen coffee/mocha drink. Alas, not paying particular attention, my drink was pre-made and poured from a gallon jug on the counter.
Now, I’m not saying that Gloria Jeans isn’t a great coffee chain, and I’m not saying that the gallon jug with dairy product might have been sitting out on the counter too long; All I’m saying is that that afternoon, sometime later, I started feeling bad. By early AM that morning, I awoke with uncontrollable shakes as my body attempted to battle back against deadly fare. As the shakes subsided the cramping began. After 36 hours of pretty much no food, the body was on the mend.
NOTE: If there are regular over the counter medicines that you use, say Pepto-Bismol, don’t assume you can get it overseas. If you were to be planning a visit to a friend who, for example was living in, say Australia, you might want to ask them before leaving the States if they would like for you to bring anything for them. <hint inserted>
